Canon Point; Pfffft. Anytime in the show? I guess I'll set her after Cadence and Shining Armor's wedding, but I have yet to watch ALL of Season 2 ;;;;;

Personality; At first glance, yes- this is one odd pony. Fluent in the language of non squitur, religiously follows what she calls 'Pinkie Senses'... Yeah, really weird. Pinkie Pie is the oddball of the Mane Six, and she represents the Element of Laughter. To that end, she is giggly to the nth degree, and exuberant to an extreme. When she was a foal, she learned to overcome her fears by laughing at them and finding things about them that are silly, and translated to marehood, she giggles in the face of danger, and is actually really hard to frighten.

When it comes to her friends- or anyone really; she makes friends that quickly- Pinkie Pie is the one to go to when you want to be cheered up. A lot of her happiness... doesn't necessarily depend on whether her friends are happy, but good golly gosh does it make her feel like she's doing her job. In fact, she sings a whole song about it! (It should be noted that- yeah, that musical event from this month? WELCOME TO THE LIFE OF PINKIE PIE.) She loves to make people smile, and will go to great lengths to make even a cranky old donkey crack a grin. It is her sole purpose in life to make you happy. If you don't know what to give her for an occasion, simply beam at her, and she will love it. It's the whole reason why she loves to throw parties, and bake delicious treats at Sugarcube Corner.

However, what should really be emphasized is that there is nothing she loves more than making others happy- and it's a deep-rooted enthusiasm. As a child, she worked on a rock farm, and had no understanding of the meaning of joy. And then, after witnessing young Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom in the distance, her hair poofed, she threw her first party, and her life was never the same again.

However, being a silly filly who throws parties all the time, it's often hard to take her seriously. Her flighty nature makes her... not exactly one's first choice for important tasks, like, you know. Leading a swarm of parasprites away from Ponyville when Princess Celestia is on her way from Canterlot to visit, babysitting Mr. and Mrs. Cake's new twins... and yet, she's done both of these! It's just that she's always the last choice for these things. And this frustrates her... for the moment, and then she's back to being her cheerful little self again, doing what strikes her fancy- provided that her Pinkie Senses aren't acting up.

Sooooo, I've been thinking about this whole 'flourishing' thing that was in the note. [ She scratches her chin rather awkwardly- she's still getting accustomed to having hands, it seems. ]

If we get everypony to smile here, do you think that would help? The ones who were here before we were all seem so gloomy- so let's get them to smile! [ If she got Cranky Doodle Donkey to smile, then this HAS to be a piece of cake! ]

What does everypony think of a party for the natives? There'll be games, and dancing, and cake... We just need to find ways to get them to come out! It'll be a challenge, cause I don't have an accordion... does anypony have a tuba?! Oh, and cymbals! [ Cause of course she's not thinking of, you know, invitations. ]

Oh, and does anypony know of a good place to have this party? I dunno if the natives can go inside our Halls...
